I have let this blog go for a long time. I haven’t really had need for another platform to air views that weren’t relevant to my work. All that is changing, and so the blog will take new direction. I did away with the Super Adsense theme, and as time goes along,l will be changing both the look and direction of the blog.

Allnut Enterprises is a diverse company. We do a lot of things, such as a brick and mortar that does well, and my job as a freelance writer and sporadic internet marketer. Things have gone well this year, and then, like everything else in this country, things begin to slide downhill in a very big hurry. Because my work as a freelance writer is funded by advertising, and advertising has gone south for the company I contract with, I find myself a bit lacking in work. Fact of the matter is, I find it very lacking. So, as Granny always said, “when life hands ya lemons, make lemonade.” I’ve done that.

I joined Wealthy Affiliate this week. I did a lot of agonizing and due diligence before I did so. I have, like so many others, been taken in by a lot of claims that just were not there. I have spent thousands on the “next best thing” and run up a ton of credit card debt in the process. I quit doing that this year and focused on my writing, which has made me a lot of money. I made the huge mistake of thinking that it would last forever. I had all my eggs in one basket, and now I am slammed. it is my own fault.

I can pull this out. You might think that in a down economy that this would not be easy to do. But my strategy is one that will work in this current economy, and I am okay with it. Even at 65, I ain’t so damn old I can’t learn something new. And that, folks, is the way of the world…
